Magleby's  Syrup

1 cube butter (don't use margarine)
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix first four ingredients.  Bring to boil while stirring.  Remove from heat and add soda & vanilla.  Refrigerate leftovers.   Great on French Toast, but Tyler uses it on waffles and pancakes, too!
